Torex is an emerging intermediate gold producer based in Canada, engaged in the exploration, development and operation of its 100% owned Morelos Gold Property, an area of 29,000 hectares in the highly prospective Guerrero Gold Belt located 180 kilometers southwest of Mexico City. Within this property, Torex has the El Limón Guajes Mine, which announced commercial production in March of 2016 and the Media Luna Project, which is in an early stage of development and for which the Company issued a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) in 2015. The property remains 75% unexplored. To support the growth of the Company and the CEO’s social strategy, a new role is being added to the Corporate Human Resources team. The Manager, Organization Effectiveness will be based in Toronto and reports to the Vice President, Human Resources. The purpose of the role is to support Team Leaders in building a clear, productive organization such that teams can effectively deliver their business outcomes as the Company matures. Accountabilities Social training programs implemented (including systems leadership, team leadership, team membership) Organization design systems implemented (including structure, role description, role evaluation, accountability, authority, decision making, work flow) Building capability systems implemented (including learning management system, career planning, succession planning) Qualifications Industrial engineer or equivalent – process / performance improvement, Lean, Six Sigma Project management certification or equivalent experience Knowledge & Skills Fluent in English, Spanish an asset Previous experience working in mining, heavy equipment industry or EPCM Previous experience as a Manager of a team of direct reports Previous consulting experience is an asset Ability to design and lead the implementation of new systems that are culturally very different Ability to see how different parts of the work flow tie together in the overall running of the mine & plant Demonstrated capability in the development and delivery of training – technical, supervisory & leadership Knowledge of Systems Leadership and/ or Requisite Organization theory, principles & models Clear and precise writer To Apply If you are a qualified and experienced professional, please submit your resume by May 30, 2017 via email to: jobs@torexgold.com Please include in the subject line “Manager, Organization Effectiveness".
