| We are currently looking for a full-time Registration Representative to join our team! Must have GREAT customer service skills. Previous customer service experience strongly desired. The Registration Representative plays an important role in greeting and registering patients who will undergo procedures at EAMC The job involves asking patients questions about their contact information, the procedures they plan to undergo, and insurance information. Registration Representatives interact with patients as they arrive to receive care. Registration Representatives are often the first person from EAMC to interact with the patient. While registering a patient, you may also work to collect unpaid medical bills to bring the patient's account current. The Representative jobs are important because you will collect critical information from the patient while representing EAMC as its first contact with the patient. The Representative jobs require ongoing learning about insurance standards and policies. Everything you'll need to know to get started in the job will be presented to you during training. This required training entails 40 hours per week of education for four consecutive weeks. You will want to make sure you can commit to full-time education for four weeks before you start in your actual position. As you work at EAMC, you'll find that insurance policies and practices change, so you'll constantly be learning new policies and codes. Your performance will be assessed on metrics like how many patients you register in a day and how accurately you enter information. You will interact on the phone or in person with more than 20 patients per day. It is important that you are able to multi-task between working on the computer and talking on the phone or in-person to patients. The ability to type is a must. Registration Representatives must focus on details and ensure that the information patients provide are accurately typed into the system. Strong oral and written communication skills are a requirement. You'll also be expected to be a team player and help your other Representatives when they have questions or when you finish your work quickly. These Registration jobs are often fast-paced and exciting. It is important that you can pace yourself through an 8-hour shift and also provide good customer service to patients. This job will keep you on your toes and provide a setting in which you can constantly learn.
